- Permanent role
- Hours – Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)
- Salary – £30 000 to £35 000 DOE
- Location – Leicester (This role involves travel across the region to different locations, including one day of working from home)

- Ensure the company’s vision, values, and policies are consistently adhered to in all recruitment processes.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their business needs, supporting them in designing job descriptions, drafting advertisements, and advising on effective attraction methods and selection techniques.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to provide coaching on effective interviewing, assessment, and selection methods.
- Partner with advertising agencies to identify the most appropriate and cost-effective platforms for job postings, while leveraging social media to attract candidates and foster relationships.
- Review all recruitment materials before publication to ensure they attract a diverse candidate pool and align with the employer brand.
- Take full accountability for the life cycle of assigned recruitment campaigns, establishing a comprehensive timetable with hiring managers, overseeing each stage, and keeping all parties informed of any changes.
- Handle all recruitment administration tasks, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, managing offers, and conducting pre-employment checks and onboarding processes, ensuring candidates are engaged and informed throughout.
- Design and deliver recruitment training, actively participating in induction events, engagement activities, job fairs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain all recruitment and selection content on the Microsoft SharePoint, ensuring it is current and relevant.
- Respond to service-related queries, providing comprehensive advice and guidance, and escalate issues to the HR Business Partner when necessary.
- Oversee the engagement of agency workers, collaborating with the managed service provider on day-to-day issues and negotiating terms with off-contract suppliers, including pay rates and compliance documentation.
- Participate in interviews, offering guidance on drafting legally compliant interview questions.
- Keep the recruitment tracking system updated, generate reports as needed, and support system upgrades. Act as a super-user of the tracking system, training managers on self-service features and ensuring user guides are current.
- Collaborate with the wider team to report on key recruitment metrics and contribute to various projects as needed.
- Promote and advocate for diversity and inclusion in recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
- Foster effective teamwork through clear communication and regular meetings.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction within the resourcing and talent acquisition team by delivering prompt and quality responses and learning from experiences to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about relevant employment legislation, including recruitment regulations and agency worker contracts.
- Log training activities, including mandatory and ACAS training, as required.
- Serve as the Regional Engagement Coordinator, supporting the development, implementation, and tracking of regional engagement plans, recognition schemes, newsletters, and other initiatives.
- Assist managers in understanding HR policies and procedures, providing first-line advice, administrative support, or note-taking as needed to ensure accurate documentation.
- Facilitate communication between service providers and the Head Office regarding employee Apprenticeships, including the setup process.
About You
- Proven expertise in employing innovative and effective strategies for directly sourcing high-quality candidates, coupled with the confidence and interpersonal skills to engage with passive candidates proactively.
- Exceptionally organised and disciplined in managing a diverse workload, ensuring a seamless end-to-end resourcing process.
- Skilled in developing tailored attraction and selection plans that include well-defined touchpoints and deadlines, while clearly setting expectations with hiring managers.
- Outstanding ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Commercially savvy, capable of articulating and demonstrating the added value of the Talent Acquisition team to stakeholders.
- Customer-focused, dedicated to delivering a high-quality service and a positive experience for both candidates and the hiring community.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience; CIPD Level 3 certification is preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or in a similar role.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with social recruiting tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Strategic Collaboration: Strong ability to liaise with internal departments, developing tailored hiring strategies and candidate profiles.
- Platform Expertise: Advanced knowledge of effective hiring platforms that successfully attract suitable candidates.
- Candidate Assessment: Exceptional skills in screening candidates, compiling shortlists, and conducting interviews effectively.
- Brand Advocacy: Proven experience in promoting the company brand and fostering professional relationships with candidates.
- Process Documentation: Proficient in documenting processes and staying current with industry trends to enhance recruitment practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with candidates and stakeholders alike.
- Confidentiality and Best Practices: Experienced in working within a confidential environment and committed to championing best practices in recruitment.
