OverviewWe have an excellent opportunity available for you to grow your career and make a difference at Birds Eye! Joining us as a Category Manager, you’ll be part of a dynamic Category Development function in a pivotal role where you’ll drive the Frozen Category growth with our customers, ensuring our business objectives are strategically aligned with our retailers plans to land joint category plans with impact.You’ll be responsible for delivering our customer plans, owning key responsibilities, ensuring the right range is in the right distribution, leveraging trends and insights to land growth, driving innovation and delivering our strategically aligned category vision in market. Basically, ensuring the frozen aisle is fit for future growth where Birds Eye UK brands drive Category growth for our retailers.ResponsibilitiesKey accountabilities will include:
- Development & execution of category plans that deliver sustainable growth in savoury frozen food & for Birds Eye UK.
- Delivering category leadership to our customers to become the total frozen expert within your customer.
- Deliver retailer/channel in line with the category vision.
- Lead the execution of the category plan – Develop and execute strategies to maximise range, space, location, availability, and macro space incorporating all category growth levers, including instore (large and small stores) and online solutions.
- Delivering insight led reporting and a solid relationship to be the ‘go to’ contact in your customer.
QualificationsAbout you…
We’re looking for a data driven experienced Category Manager who has a passion for food and our brands. You’ll ideally come from a FMCG or retailer business, used to working in a fast-paced environment, able to demonstrate good communication skills, collaboration with others and is a strong team player. We look for people who are focused on getting results, embrace learning and bring positive energy, combining initiative with a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
- Analytical thinker who can prioritise and work with multiple priorities
- Good knowledge and understanding of commercial measures & P&L management.
- Experience of working with and interrogating EPOS data from Nielsen & retailer sources.
- Experience of using commercial data and providing actionable insights from data
- Understanding of the latest shopper / market insight and the retailer customer base
