Director – ESG Technical Implementation LeadLocation: London, UK / Poznan, PolandWithin the ESG Reporting Hub team, reporting directly to the ESG Reporting Hub Director, this role will be responsible for interpreting and assessing the gaps for any new legal, regulatory or reporting standard requirements relating to ESG reporting. This role will be accountable for ensuring key requirements are identified and implementation scope and approach are aligned with relevant senior stakeholders. This role will guide the ESG Reporting Hub Director and the ESG Reporting Hub Global Process Owner on the optimal solution to implement requirements at pace. This role requires a strong technical knowledge combined with process experience to support the setup of a flexible, quality process.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Constantly assess external ESG reporting changes and provide strategic insight well in advance of implementationContinually benchmark with peers and other external bodies and propose updates to GSK ways of working for an efficient and effective frameworkTo understand and interpret new or updated legal requirements that impact GSK’s ESG external reporting, coordinate across subject matter experts, to propose an optimal solution to implement such changes at paceCoordinate with and influence in-house senior specialists (mainly VPs and directors) in legal, corporate responsibility and other functions, to ensure optimal solution and support external meetings and reportingBuild out detailed implementation and resourcing plan for an implementation/BAU team to then executeDrive ESG in-house reporting teams to possess an adequate understanding of upcoming legislation and consequences through information updates and trainingCo-design with the ESG reporting hub GPO change, communications and training across the ESG reporting teamBe the go-to person for ESG leadership on any legislative reporting interpretationRepresent GSK on external committees or with peers to discuss upcoming ESG reporting compliance changes and support responses from industry bodies or directly from GSKEnsure our external ESG reporting complies with the appropriate regulatory body requirements before publicationWhy you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Qualified accountant, ideally with “Big 4” background with significant years of experience PQE OR equivalent ESG qualification and/ or experienceExperience in assessing the impact of legislative change and implementation by companiesExperience of working with a shared service/ hub environment OR working with professionals from other disciplines.Gravitas to lead change in a volatile external reporting environmentStrong stakeholder engagement experienceAbility to communicate and influence effectively across functionsPreferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:Ability to work in a complex and fast-moving environment with multiple priorities.Manage cross-functional matrix environment at paceAbility to connect with and influence senior business stakeholders globally.Closing Date for Applications: 28th October 2024 (COB)We create a place where people can grow, be their best, be safe, and feel welcome, valued and included.
