Job DescriptionReporting to the supervisor, the construction equipment mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, verification, repair and adjustment of the various components and systems of construction equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, general maintenance and periodic maintenance on a variety of machinery, such as: Crane, excavator with shears, mobile loader, forklift
  • Check the operation of the equipment;
  • Establish a diagnosis when anomalies are identified and determine the causes;
  • Ensure repairs and modifications to components, parts or systems;
  • Complete maintenance orders and inspection sheets by recording the tasks carried out;
  • Ensure proper use and operation of company equipment;
  • Inform your immediate superior of any required action, any problem detected or exceeding planned times;
  • Keep your workplace clean and safe;
  • Work safely and in compliance with the company’s OHS policies and procedures;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of professional studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction machinery mechanics; or a combination of studies/experience deemed equivalent;
  • Experience driving a forklift, mini-loader and other machinery (asset).

Additional Information

  • Full-time position;
  • Schedule : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
  • Possibility of paid overtime;
  • Sponsorship and training upon hiring;
