Position Overview
The Education USA Coordinator in Kolkata is essential in delivering information about U.S. higher education and helping students navigate their educational journey. This role focuses on participating in outreach programs and providing individualized counseling to ensure students are informed about U.S. educational opportunities. The Coordinator plays a key role in executing the strategies set by senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Counseling and Advising: Offer accurate and comprehensive information on U.S. higher education to prospective students through various channels, including in-person consultations, emails, and online tools. Guide students through the U.S. college/university admission process in both group and individual settings.
- Outreach Programs: Deliver information session and participate in programs to promote U.S. higher education, including participation in fairs, workshops, and public talks across the region.
- Networking: Build and maintain connections with regional educational institutions to support outreach activities.
- Database and Records Management: Manage data entry and maintain accurate records for center statistics and student databases.
- Information Desk Management: Handle routine inquiries at the information desk.
- Research and Social Media Management: Stay updated on trends in U.S. and Indian education, manage social media content, and utilize digital tools to enhance outreach.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
Minimum of one-two years’ experience in the higher education sector, ideally in a multicultural or educational institution setting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and social media management
- Excellent customer service, public speaking, and advisory skills
- Ability to engage with students and effectively network
Additional Requirements:
- This full-time position may involve travel and occasional weekend work.
