CNC Machinist Job Duties:
- Prepare and configure CNC lathes, mills, or other machines to produce stamped metal parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure CNC machines are running efficiently by conducting regular checks, making adjustments, and troubleshooting any mechanical or operational issues.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on CNC machines, including changing tools, lubricating moving parts, and calibrating machinery as needed.
- Work closely with other machinists, engineers, and production staff to ensure timely completion of production schedules and resolve any production-related issues.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (full-time)
- Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM (part-time)
Pay: $20 – $30 per hour
CNC Machinist Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a metal stamping or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files, and modify or create CNC programs as needed.
- Familiarity with different cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings used in metal stamping, and the ability to select the right tools for each job.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to inspect parts and ensure they meet tight tolerances.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work with precision while maintaining a high level of focus and safety in a fast-paced factory setting.
