Job Description

NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations (AP&O) is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management to sales operations, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal’s $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we’re building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU. 

The Business Intelligence & Analytics team within AP&O leverages data to empower business customers with actionable insights that drive performance and decision-making. We are currently seeking an Analytics Engineer to support design and implementation of scalable data solutions, empowering stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Strategy with data analytics solutions. 

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Analytics Engineer, in this role you will: 

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of analytical reporting ETL pipelines and related front-end interfaces (e.g., dashboards), leveraging data languages such as SQL and Python, and platforms such as Snowflake and pipeline management tools. 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of QA and UAT protocols, proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues to ensure solutions perform effectively. 
  • Support training and ongoing support to data users, enabling them to effectively utilize data solutions and tools. 
  • Collaborate on the development of advanced analytics prototypes to drive strategic initiatives and business outcomes. 
  • Write and maintain comprehensive documentation to support scalability and knowledge transfer across the organization. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or related fields, including data pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in advanced SQL (e.g., window functions, debugging, optimization).
  • Knowledge of Data Modelling, Data Architecture, Data Quality, Metadata, ETL and Data Warehouse methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply similar tools.
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools such as dbt or FiveTran.
  • Strong collaboration, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a media company, specifically within advertising sales.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $100,000 – $135,000
