Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to customers around the world. The Project Kuiper North America Consumer team is looking for a talented Canada Field Service Lead to define the long-term strategy and vision for field services in Canada, and to manage the end-to-end customer experience for professional installation and maintenance. As one of our valued team members, you will be obsessed with matching our standards for operational excellence with a relentless focus on delighting our customers. A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrixed organization and adept at understanding how satellite field service operations and device fulfillment works in Canada. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives with nationwide scale, especially in support of internet service providers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving process improvements and leading large scale operations.

This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Launch and operate our professional satellite systems installation and maintenance network for residential and small business customers in Canada.

  • Review historical sales and subscriber forecasts, research demand drivers, analyze forecast data, validate and optimize assumptions, and translate forecasts into operational plans and requirements (i.e., inventory management, delivery, installation, service calls).

  • Partner with global planning, forward logistics, and reverse logistics teams to optimize regional inventory allocation, local inventory placement, storage capacity, and fulfillment processes.

  • Once operational, meet our performance measurement criteria and drive process improvement across the business operations work stream, and focus on optimizing costs and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

  • Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data, and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders. Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

  • 7+ years of managing business metrics related to Field Operations in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning technology products

  • 7+ years experience in consumer telecommunications or satellite services
