Forbes Bros Ltd. is looking for a full-time, permanent Labourer to join our team supporting our projects based out of Melfort, SK.The Labourer will be responsible for assisting other crew members in day-to-day tasks inclusive of but not limited to operating small equipment and tools to complete tasks, carrying and moving materials as needed and other additional tasks and duties as assigned.Forbes Bros Ltd. has a family-oriented culture that focuses on flexibility, communication, growth & respect in the workplace. Key Responsibilities:

• Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
• Digging and back-filling trenches
• Pulling and placing underground and overhead cables
• Carrying and moving materials as needed
• Operating small equipment and hand tools
• Spotting for vehicles and equipment
• Site setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and other potentially dangerous materials from the construction site are removed
• Assisting craft/crew members with work as directed
• Following instruction and adhering to safe work practices
• Development of skills on varied and challenging tasks
• Performing additional labourer tasks and duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• Ability to learn the principals involved in the operation of construction, maintenance methods and procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines
• Ability to travel to frequent overtime hours and weekend hours as required to accommodate to project schedules and needs
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of Pre-Access D&A testing, presenting a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
• Class 1A drivers license, an asset ($1 premium for class 1A drivers)
