Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in New Bedford, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be supporting our financial operations during a transition period, providing expertise in various accounting functions within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage various accounting software systems

• Execute general accounting functions with precision and efficiency

• Conduct audits and approve audit sign-offs

• Manage and maintain balance sheet accounts

• Oversee grant accounting processes and procedures

• Implement forensic accounting methods for financial investigations

• Handle payroll operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Conduct regular bookkeeping tasks to maintain financial records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing practices and procedures

• Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account management

• Knowledge of Grant Accounting principles and procedures

• Experience in Forensic Accounting and related investigative techniques
