DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under close supervision with detailed instruction, this position assists in performing traditional general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles.

Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers can be readily obtained.

Contributes to and ensures the accuracy of accounting data, transactions, and reports.

Completes necessary account reconciliations and adjusts accounting entries in a timely manner.

Maintains and monitors appropriate accounting master file ensuring acceptable accounting principles and procedures.

Prepares income and balance sheet statements, profit and loss statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports.

May design, modify, install, and/or maintain general accounting systems to provide records of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions.

May implement and communicate accounting policies and procedures.

Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
-
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related professional degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Ability to learn and apply basic accounting concepts, to follow company policies and procedures, and to apply appropriate tools of the accounting profession to accurately complete standard accounting tasks.

Ability to use established formats to produce accurate, appropriate accounting documentation.

May be required to present accounting data.

Must have demonstrated computer literacy with knowledge of computer accounting software and applications.

Must have good interpersonal skills including ability to communicate clearly with other professionals.
