GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The primary purpose of this position is to serve T. L. Hart’s customers and employees in a way that honors God and profits in the process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting/finance

Using QuickBooks Enterprise, perform all company bookkeeping and accounting functions, including, but not limited to, data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, job costing, payroll, month-end statements, bank and credit card statements reconciliation, tax filings (weekly, quarterly, and year-end; does not include corporate taxes, which are done by an outside accounting firm), Simple IRA computations and contributions, month and year-end close out, Job in Progress reports (JIPS), general journal entries—all the accounting functions needed by the firm is performed under the accounting/finance role.

Banking, including, but not limited to, compiling, and making deposits

Collection calls.

Insurances—commercial package and automobile: solicitation and oversight of.

Purchasing, as directed.

Depreciation, calculating, entering.

Other duties/incidentals (if/as needed)

Serve as receptionist, filing, ordering (supplies), general office management.

WORK HOURS & COMPENSATION

This is an hourly position, generally 30-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday—understanding that there are accounting, tax, and filing deadlines that must be met regardless of day or hours worked.

Since this is a full-time position, benefits are included and are as follows: two weeks paid time off (PTO) per year—prorated from time of hire, health (small co-pay), and dental, life, and vision insurance (fully paid) for the employee only (dependents may be added at the employee’s expense), plus a SIMPLE IRA saving plan with a company match.
