Course Description:
Analysis of the pedagogical changes brought about by information and communication technologies in society, particularly in education, in order to develop a critical techno-pedagogical vision. Study of their use as both learning objects and tools, and as aids to teaching at the secondary level. Evaluation of tutorials and information websites, and the development of pedagogical scenarios for integrating technology at the secondary level, following a culturally responsive teaching approach.

A Master’s degree in education related to the subject to be taught is required; preference will be given to a Ph.D. in education related to the subject to be taught.
At least one of the following is required: Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administrative experience within a school board, including two years of implementing the Ontario Curriculum at the intermediate/senior level with a specialist qualification at the intermediate/senior level, OR Current and peer-reviewed research record in the subject of the course to be taught, OR Recent comprehensive exam (Ph.D.) in the subject of the course to be taught.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario context concerning the subject to be taught; Proven ability to apply the Professional Standards and Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers;
The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above.
