All employees are also considered for an annual raise, commensurate with performance and company commitment.About this position:We are seeking an experienced cloud architect to lead the transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this role, you will be responsible for designing new architecture patterns for microservices, optimizing container architecture, and enhancing microservices observability. You will work on defining key performance metrics (KPIs) to track performance, while also establishing security standards for microservices. As part of your responsibilities, you will utilize OCI services to architect solutions that optimize cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, security, and compliance. Your expertise will drive the implementation of OCI Logging, Monitoring, and APM to ensure a seamless and secure transition, performance optimization, and system decoupling.Salary Range: 150k – 160k – commensurate with the candidate’s skills, experience, location, and qualifications.On a day-to-day basis, you will: * Lead the transition from monolithic to microservices architecture, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Design and implement innovative architecture patterns tailored to microservices for enhanced performance and maintainability.
- Optimize and streamline container architecture for improved resource utilization and scalability.
- Enhance microservices observability by implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.
- Identify, analyze, and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Establish and enforce security standards for microservices to ensure compliance and safeguard against vulnerabilities.
Required Education/Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: Secret security clearance fully adjudicated.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent major.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+
- Microservices Architecture (OCI) – Design and transition from monolithic to microservices on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Containerization & Orchestration – Expertise in Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and OCI container services.
- Observability & Monitoring – Implement OCI Logging, Monitoring, and Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
- Security & Compliance – Strong knowledge of OCI IAM, Security Zones, Vault, and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Performance Optimization – Define and track KPIs for OCI Compute, Autonomous Database, and Networking.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Optimization – Architect solutions using OCI Functions, API Gateway, and Service Mesh.
- System Decoupling – Develop strategies using OCI Event Services, Streaming, and Messaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OCI Certifications – OCI Architect Professional or OCI Developer certification.
- API Management & Service Mesh – Experience with Oracle API Gateway and OCI Service Mesh.
- DevOps & CI/CD – Knowledge of OCI DevOps services for microservices deployment.
- Enterprise IT Governance – Experience managing security, compliance, and risk in OCI.
