At OCS, we find meaning each day in helping junior professionals figure out a future that excites them. And we do it in an environment that places a premium on flexibility and autonomy for our team members. If we are speaking your language so far, read on to learn more about our two core principles and what we’re looking for in a new team member.

Core Principle 1: OCS is mission-driven. We are looking for people-centered professionals to join an office that is motivated by the daily interactions with creative, smart, driven, and curious students. We take pride in providing a service to those students that allows them to create their unique career plan, tailored to their specific needs and interests. In doing so, we get to experience share their excitement when a new job offer arrives or when they figure out what lights them up as a professional; and we take seriously the responsibility to help them through more challenging times.

Core Principle 2: OCS prioritizes flexibility and respects its team members’ judgment and autonomy in meeting our mission. We don’t micro-manage. We structure our office only enough to support professional development and organize work equitably and sensibly – beyond that, we trust our team members to get the job done in a way that both helps our clients (the students!) and allows them to show up authentically. Hierarchy is minimal and entrepreneurship is encouraged. We manage to take the reactivity out of client service (for most of the year!). This is an environment where you can help others and feel supported by your team.
