What will be your daily pursuit?Supporting and leading the guest experience team, to ensure they provide upbeat and professional hospitality.This seasonal job is posted as part of our recruitment for Spring / summer hiring, with start dates in April/May until September/October.What will your compensation be?The salary for the role with be $50,000 CAD, please note this is an annualized salary as this is not a year round position.What perks can you expect?Work in a dynamic, culturally diverse team from around the globe Work experience in an iconic, unforgettable, and inspiring locationFree access to Pursuit attractions for staff and family, send a friend at half the price!Discounted hotel stays under Pursuit’s lodging offerings, and discounted food & beverage and retail experiencesThe chance to work in an inclusive culture and make life-long friends Access to subsidized mental health and wellness resources Opportunities for career growth or future work at other Pursuit locations Access to one of the world’s most beautiful and iconic National ParksWhat will you do in this job?Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, The Assistant Guest Experience Manage will be responsible for improving line management, health and safety, programming, cleanliness and overall guest experience.Manage day-to-day operations of Ticket Offices through out the Golden Skybridge..Support, coach and ensure that each member of the Guest Experience team provides an upbeat and professional guest service that goes above and beyond our guests expectationsEnsure all guest areas are kept clean by embracing the Pursuit Value to Honour Place Managing lines ensuring positive guests experiencesLeading the team to manage both the arrival and departure of guests ensuring a world class impressionEnsuring all staff are knowledgeable, by providing each visitor with the highest quality experience and by maximizing revenue through sales of all our products and servicesDirecting, leading and supporting the Guest Experience teamHiring, Training, orientation and evaluation of all Guest Experience employeesMaintain positive working relationships with tour companies, suppliers and other departmentsEnsure all guest experience employees adhere to corporate grooming standards and enforce the highest level of presentation and professional conductEnsure smooth operation of computer systems and arranging for repairs as needed, act as an on-site contact for Guest Experience IT systemsAssist in overseeing the daily reconciliation of cash reports and applicable corrections and adjustments. As well as any payroll needs, with regards to labour.Ensure cash security by enforcing policies and authorized access to the safes and safe cash handling procedures in the ticketing areasInform staff of new clients, payment procedures and special functions.Health and Safety champion for the department, being a leader to all emergency and safety protocolsManage staffing levels and department schedulingHanding guest complaintsWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?

• A minimum of two-three years supervisory/management experience with proven ability to manage a large team, including experience in payroll, scheduling, recognition, and progressive discipline
• Employee training experience including POS, customer service and operational skills Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer focus providing friendly, professional and efficient service Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrate high levels of positive energy and a willingness to take on new challenges
• Strong communication and listening skills with local and international guests and staff, second language skills highly advantageous
• Accuracy and efficiency in handling large cash/card transactions under fast-paced and busy conditions and experience with cash reconciliation
• Passion for employee and guest safety
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel required) First Aid Training an asset
• Meet and set a strong example for Pursuit grooming standards
• Physical demands including constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
