The primary focus will be on teaching courses in the and in the Computing and Big Data Concentration within that Major. In particular, preferred candidates will have the ability and desire to develop and teach curriculum related to Big Data analytics and/or large-scale databases. Experience in areas such as distributed data processing, MapReduce programming, batch processing, stream processing, and using recognized tools in the field (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Flink, Kafka, etc.) is considered a significant asset.The successful candidate will develop/maintain an active program of research/scholarship in accordance with Mount Royal University’s (and the Faculty of Science and Technology’s) expectations regarding Research and Scholarship.
