As we expand our Data Management consulting practice, we are seeking a highly experienced Associate Director – Data Management to lead our initiatives and drive impactful solutions for our clients.

About the role

As the Associate Director – Data Management, you will be a leader for our Data Management consulting efforts. Your expertise in data management, financial services, and consulting will be critical in delivering innovative data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. In this role, you will leverage your existing professional network to enhance Synechron’s offerings and support strategic projects in the field of Data Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership of the Data Management Practice:

  • Lead and advance the Data Management consulting practice by setting strategic goals and driving initiatives tailored to the financial services industry.

  • Mentor and develop a team of data management consultants, managers and senior managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

• Client Engagement & Project Delivery:

  • Engage directly with clients to assess their data challenges and opportunities, providing expert consultancy on data governance, quality, and analytics.

  • Oversee the execution of data management projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions that exceed client expectations.

• Growth and Development of the Practice:

  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities within the financial services sector, leveraging your existing network to expand our client base.

  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to promote the Data Management practice through participation in industry events and thought leadership initiatives.

• Data Management & Compliance:

  • Establish and implement robust data management frameworks that ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on data management policies and procedures that enhance data quality and integrity.

• Thought Leadership:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management, using this knowledge to enhance our consulting offerings.

  • Contribute to the development of white papers, case studies, and training materials that position Synechron as a thought leader in data management within the financial services sector.

What you bring

• Over 10 years of experience in data management consulting, with a strong focus on the financial services industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Proven track record of successfully managing data management projects within the financial services industry and banking, along with leading consulting teams to deliver high-impact results.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data architecture, and data quality best practices.

• Excellent business acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and build lasting client relationships.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Fluent in English at a business level, with proficiency in Dutch being a significant advantage.
