Job description
West Texas Spine Institute is an orthopedic practice currently hiring a bilingual CMA to join the team.As a member of our medical team, the Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative tasks, including assisting with patient care, scheduling appointments, referral intakes, and communicating with patients and other healthcare providers.Full-time, weekdays, Monday – Friday, no weekends and no on-call.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the provider during exams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients.
- Communicate with patients and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure that all necessary information is collected.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing patient schedules.
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- (NCR) Assist with daily patient X-rays and imaging reports.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other computer programs.
- Ability to use MS Office programs, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced work environment.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program (preferred). Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedics or neurology. Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinic operations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)
- Personal Injury and orthopedics experience preferred. New or recent grads encouraged to apply.
