The County of Nevada Transit Services Division, aka Nevada County Connects, is currently recruiting Temporary (part-time) Bus Drivers in the Grass Valley and Nevada City region. We are seeking motivated, customer service oriented people who enjoy being a part of a close-knit team that provides amazing services to the public. Our Mission is to provide safe, efficient, and friendly transit services to the residents of Western Nevada County. The Temporary Bus Driver position is an integral part of accomplishing that goal, so we need you to join our team. The position is part-time, up to 20 hours per week, with shifts typically being between 4 and 8 hours in length.This position requires completion of twelfth grade or receipt of G.E.D. and a minimum of six months of driving experience in one or more of the following: public transit, a school district transit operation, or driving a commercial vehicle. Possession of the following documents from the State of California: VTT Certificate within three months of hire, Passenger Endorsement Certificate, Class A or B Vehicle Operator’s License, and Department of Motor Vehicles Medical Certificate/DL-51. Passenger transit driving experience preferred.

All required licenses and certificates must be issued by the State of California and kept current and valid for the duration of employment
Recruitment incentives-Up to $3,000 paid over a 6-month period (either new or lateral hires).
