Our well-established client is currently seeking a Cad Designer to join their growing team. Full-time in the Mechanicville area!Responsibilities of the Cad Designer will include:

• Collaborate with internal teams to provide quality technical engineering documentation
• Participate in project kickoff meetings
• Create 3D technical drawings
• Produce detailed construction drawings featuring accurately labeled parts, precise measurements, electrical/lighting details, and material/finish specifications.
• Work closely with Project Managers to refine drawings and obtain production approvals.
• Create setup plans for onsite installation teams.
• Collaborate with contracted engineering firms for exhibit structural analysis, as required.
• Demonstrate mechanical, drafting, and engineering proficiency.
• Capture photographs of “as built” exhibits for incorporation into setup drawings for clarification.
• Perform drawing maintenance tasks, including updates, revisions, and development of as-built record documents.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Cad Designer:

• Associate degree or training in CAD from a college or trade school, or relevant CAD experience in construction fields such as architecture, cabinetry, or displays.
• Preferably, 3+ years of experience designing
• Proficient in 3D modeling
• Hands-on shop fabrication experience is considered a strong asset.
