Call Center Representative

Chatsworth, CA

Full time – Direct hire

Monday thru Friday – 8:30am to 5:30pm

$22 to $24hr depending on experience.

A privately help benefit administration company providing high-quality, cost-effective programs uniquely designed to meet specific needs for plan sponsors and participants, is seeking a Call Center Representative to join their team in Chatsworth.

Summary: Seeking a Call Center Representative to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team. This is a great opportunity for someone with recent high-volume call center experience and strong customer service skills. A California Life and Health Insurance license is required or must be obtained upon hire (we provide licensing support to the right candidate).

Responsibilities:

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from individuals inquiring about established dental/vision/life/disability insurance plans.
  • Assist callers with accurate, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls as needed.
  • Document all calls and maintain up-to-date client records.
  • Process documents, respond to emails in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of RECENT experience (within the last 2 years) in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Knowledge of dental/vision/life/disability insurance is a plus.
  • Ability to verbally make and receive numerous telephone calls per day to address benefit issues with callers.
  • California Life & Health Insurance license is preferred – or willingness to obtain quickly with our support.
  • Fluent English; Spanish bilingual is a strong plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems.
