Catering, Cleaning and Hospitality Trainer

Job Introduction

Working across our military sites in Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire we now require a Catering, Cleaning and Hospitality Trainer to deliver front line training across all service areas (catering, retail, cleaning and Mess services) to support our managers as we look to further develop a highly skilled and passionate workforce. 

Although a training qualification is not essential, you will need to have an operational background in soft facilities management, extensive experience of training out practical skills and a desire to develop our teams.

You will need to approach the role with passion, empathy and boast outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as great organisational skills to manage and track progress across multiple sites and disciplines. Though this role will be predominantly Monday to Friday there is an expectation to be flexible as you may be required to work unsociable hours to meet the needs of the business, and our 24/7 operation.

You will also need to have a full UK driving licence as you will be travelling to sites across the region and overnight stays may be required to undertake training and other business requirements.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Enhancing or developing training materials
• Delivering engaging training, which is practical and task orientated, rather than classroom based
• Considering our diverse workforce and adapting your style to meet their needs
• Liaising with site managers to plan and manage a programme of training and regularly report on progress with senior management
• Promoting and encouraging take up of apprenticeships
• Identifying potential and supporting succession planning
