Are you passionate about growing creative opportunities? Greentop Community Circus Centre is seeking a new Chair of Trustees to play a pivotal role in harnessing our vision and strategy to benefit our neighbourhood, artists and people across South Yorkshire

Job Description

This is an exciting time to be joining the Greentop team with a chance to shape the next 3 year business plan and build on recent Audience Development work. We very much welcome your skills and talent, and we believe that in return this trusteeship will offer you a unique set of opportunities. Previous committee/trustee experience is not essential and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.

We are seeking a Chair Person able to

Job Requirements

Person specification essentials:
1. Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Trusteeship.
2. Understanding and committing to Greentop’s vision and values and adhering to Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
3. Good, independent judgement, political impartiality and the ability to think creatively in the context of the organisation and external environment.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to respect the confidences of colleagues, balancing tact and diplomacy with willingness to challenge and constructively criticise.
5. Creative outlook: be open to circus and related art and participatory activity forms and maintain a creative attitude.
6. Knowledge or experience of the arts and community sector that Greentop works in
