Rapier EmploymentIndustry:Logistics Distribution and Supply ChainJob DescriptionClass 2 HIAB Driver£125 – £135 per dayRapier Employment Ltd is currently hiring a skilled HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver for our client in Northampton.Monday-Friday | Average 8-hour shiftsThe ideal candidate will have a valid HGV Class 2 HIAB licence, relevant experience in driving heavy goods vehicles, and a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures. You’ll be delivering goods safely to building sites, private addresses, and new developments across Northamptonshire and surrounding counties in an 18-tonne Hiab lorry.
Responsibilities:

• Operate an 18-tonne Hiab lorry to transport goods.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads properly.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers and team members about deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 HIAB licence & CPC (clean driving record)
• Experience with flatbed vehicles preferred
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules
• Good communication skills & customer-focused attitude
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading tasks & long hours
