Job Description Summary

This position will assist in the management of multiple clinical trials and responsibilities in specific research area. Coordinate the screening of patients, subject enrollment, collection and storage of biological samples and related study documents, and collection of clinical data. Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) filings and inquiries, and assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals, and research related presentations. Works closely with the Principal Investigator, manager, and study team to identify problems and develop solutions. Implement approved changes to procedures as needed and monitor results. Responsible for study coordination for investigator-initiated studies, multi-center research studies, and patient-oriented clinical and translational research projects.

This positiont is expected to work comfortably as part of a research team and

should have strong writing, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. A collaborative working style is required. This position will be responsible for leading specific projects and working with the project managers to ensure the study protocol is being followed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines. This position is contingent upon funding.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the informed consent process of study subjects and adhere to an IRB approved protocol
• Coordinate protocol related research procedures, study visits, and follow-up care as well as screen, recruit and enroll patients/research participants, maintain study source documents, and report adverse events
• Educate subjects and their support members on protocol, study intervention, etc.
• Understand study finances including sponsor invoicing & resolving study subject billing issues
• Develop advertisement/recruitment materials
• Act as liaison for research subject, investigator, IRB, sponsor, and healthcare professionals
• Document investigational product (drug/device) accountability
• Self-monitor and self-audit responsibilities
• Develop/edit informed consent document
• Assignments to include more complex studies

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
