The Opportunity:Company, Department: Nova Scotia Power, Tech Project DeliveryLocation: Halifax, Nova Scotia – HybridClosing Date: October 30, 2024 Key elements of this role include::Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring for a Co-op, Information Technology for the Winter Term with our Tech Project Delivery team.What you’ll do:We’ll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:
- Develop BI Applications using MS PowerApps.
- Develop intermediate level MS PowerApp Dashboards
- Introduce new users to MS PowerApps and support the self-serve users mainly by answering their questions.
- Work with BI Leads to develop BI Process Templates, Data Inventory.
- Test BI products as requested.
Who you are:Working as a valued part of our Tech Project Delivery Team you will bring:
- Pursuing a Bachelor´s Degree, master’s degree, or Diploma, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Information Management or related fields.
- Enrolled in a co-op program and eligible for a winter 2025 Co-op Term.
- Specific knowledge of and experience with developing dashboard like MS Power Apps
- Knowledge and experience of Relational Databases: SQL, Oracle, Azure Synapse
- Skills to write SQL Queries, Python scripts.
- Knowledge & experience with BI application testing approaches and techniques will be an asset.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex environment characterized by multiple, competing/shifting priorities.
