Job Overview
The Communications Associate (“CA”) is responsible for writing, producing, and editing content across a range of products that contribute to the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs’ (“Center’s”) work at the intersection of religion and world affairs.
Work Interactions
The Communications Associate will report to the Executive Director and will collaborate with Center faculty and staff, including the Communications Director, the Lead Software Developer, the Events and Office Coordinator, and the Multimedia Creative Producer, to research, write, and edit content for multiple products, including articles for digital and print publications, social media channels (including X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), and grant proposals and reports.
Of particular importance will be finding ways to capture and promote faculty members’ research and contributions to their respective fields that take place at and beyond the Center, along with supporting the work of the Communications Director. The Communications Associate may also be tasked with reviewing or developing language for new Center projects (e.g., letters of inquiry, grant applications), donor materials (e.g., gift proposals, donor collateral), and shorter research pieces (e.g., background memos, white papers). Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$19.20 – $28.70
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
