Job Description Summary

Perform a variety of dairy animal care duties including milking, bedding, feeding and all tasks associated with animal care at Marshak Dairy. Employee will report directly to the dairy farm supervisor.

Position Located in Kennett Sq., No public Transportation Available

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bed, feed, milk and monitor health condition of animals.
• Maintain Marshak Dairy as an excellent example of a teaching and research facility including farm and animal cleanliness.
• Operate and maintain farm equipment
• Assist with animal transports and rotation of stock.
• Provide manual labor, operate vehicles for animal transport

QUALIFICATIONS:

HS or GED with 2 years of experience in dairy / farming operation or equivalent preferred. Working knowledge of most types of farm equipment. Ability to work with little or no supervision is a benefit. Mechanical ability desired. Flexibility in hours necessary, as overtime is required during weekends and seasonal activities. Valid driver license ( class 3 preferred ). Demonstrated ability to work with animals. Ability to lift and perform strenuous work.
