Job Description:
As a Digital Strategy Engineer – Senior Consultant with our Tech Advisory team, you will leverage your expertise in data engineering and business strategy to design scalable solutions that drive digital transformation. Working directly with private equity clients and their portfolio companies, you will be a self-starter that can evaluate operations, craft strategies to enhance performance, pitch the proposals, and then execute them. This role combines technical problem-solving and strategic business insight to define internal processes, develop system automation, and implement these frameworks for our clients.
Key Responsibilities include:
Strategic Evaluation and Execution
Assess portfolio company operations, identify inefficiencies, and recommend strategic improvements based on data-driven insights.
Lead the implementation of proposed solutions, including system automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Data Engineering and Automation
Design and deploy data integration solutions to consolidate information from diverse systems and enable scalable operations.
Implement AI and machine learning models to enhance automation, predictive analytics, and decision-making processes.
Develop Python-based tools and scripts to automate manual processes, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce errors.
Process Optimization and Framework Design
Define internal processes and frameworks that enhance scalability, improve data quality, and reduce manual intervention.
Implement governance and automation frameworks that drive long-term efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
Client Collaboration and Proposal Development
Engage with clients to understand their unique challenges and align technical solutions with business objectives.
Develop and present clear, actionable proposals to clients, securing buy-in and demonstrating value.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Information Systems/Information Technology, or related Engineering degree required
Must have at least 2 years of experience in Consulting or a related field, Developer, AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist / Engineer, Cloud Engineer / Architect
Previous work Experience with ERPs, Private Equity, and Manufacturing & Distribution is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Remoted work arrangement with in-office work as needed.
Travel 25–50% to client sites.
Required Technical Skills
Python for Automation: Advanced proficiency in Python to automate data workflows, operational processes, and repetitive tasks. Strong experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scripting for process optimization.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud platforms for data storage, orchestration, and processing (e.g., Blob Storage, Data Factory).
Financial Statements and Business KPIs: Solid understanding of financial statements (e.g., income statements, balance sheets) and key business performance indicators (KPIs) to analyze operations and inform data-driven recommendations.
Enterprise Developer Operations: Proficiency in Git and enterprise-grade code collaboration tools, with experience in CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices.
Bonus Skills
Advanced Technical Skills: Experience with system engineering, time series forecasting, machine learning, web development (e.g., JavaScript), and building tools or applications to enhance automation and predictive analytics. Familiarity with customer ERP systems, including implementation, integration, or optimization.
Project, Leadership, and DevOps Expertise: Proven experience leading engagement teams, managing projects, and mentoring team members. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management, CI/CD pipelines, and team collaboration.
Sales and Relationship Building: Demonstrated success in client-facing roles such as consulting or sales, with the ability to network effectively, pitch proposals, and develop lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,500.00 – $157,600.00 per year.
