That includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.About this teamThe Global Communications team at lululemon is responsible for creating and executing dynamic communications strategies that inspire and connect key stakeholders, internally and externally. lululemon operates across multiple countries in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), with communications efforts weighted towards our core markets the UK, Germany, France and Spain.The Director of Communications & PR, EMEA is a key member of the Global Communications and Regional Brand leadership teams, developing innovative public relations, corporate communications, and internal engagement strategies for the EMEA market.This is an FTC, covering a 12-month leave until November 2025. The role reports to the Senior Vice President of Global Communications, with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, EMEA.Core responsibilities

  • Manage strategic materials, budgets, and reporting tools.
  • Provide written and verbal executive communications support for the EVP International and SVP EMEA, and stakeholder communications counsel to wider departments.
  • Fuel employee engagement and connection through virtual and in-person communications channels.
  • Serve as communications lead on issue and crisis management across the region, including both directly operated and franchise markets.
  • Build trusting relationships with key media and industry influencers.
  • Create dynamic public-facing initiatives that support the company purpose through story-telling and experiences across brand, product, community, culture, impact and business.
  • Develop a cross-functional communications team and lead EMEA PR agencies across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and franchise markets.
  • Partner with EMEA Brand Marketing leaders, contributing to an effective and measurable local strategy to drive brand familiarity and growth.
  • Serve as a member of the Global Communications Leadership Team, leading the EMEA vision, planning and strategy across consumer and corporate PR and internal communications.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Fluent English speaker; fluency in French, German, and/or Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to anticipate and mitigate potential reputational issues, demonstrating sound judgment and discretion.
  • Details-oriented and used to thriving in a fast-pace, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven people development expertise.
  • Outstanding written, presentation and verbal communications skills, with the ability to distil messages into clear, compelling communications in a variety of formats.
  • Possessive of existing press relationships and a strong understanding of the media/digital landscape.
  • Ability to articulate and co-create strategies with a wide range of people, including senior leaders, agency partners, and employees at all levels of experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant in-house and/or agency experience across consumer PR, corporate communications, and internal engagement; ideally for a premium, purpose-led, global business.

Role classification

  • Field/Community-based work is necessary or important within the designated remit, with relevant travel required.
  • In-person collaboration is important, and work is performed from the office at least 3 days per week.
