Boeing Canada Operations Limited (BCOL), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is seeking a Director of Strategy and Policy . Reporting directly to the President of Boeing Canada, this pivotal role is based in our Ottawa, Ontario Canada office. This position allows for a hybrid work structure.
The Director of Strategy and Policy, will have a strong commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards. This role, will play a crucial part in developing and implementing strategic programs and initiatives that support Boeing’s core business interests in Canada. The incumbent will also be responsible for aligning strategies with the needs and expectations of our Canadian customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring that their aspirations are met. Additionally, it will contribute to ensuring operational excellence and effective representation of Boeing’s interests in Canada, maintaining a strong presence and leadership in the market.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate and evolve The Boeing Company’s Country strategy for Canada, including the long-term vision.
Engage with governmental and industry leaders in support of Boeing Canada’s mission.
Represent Boeing Canada at selected activities and engagements. This includes national associations (such as the Air Transport Association of Canada, Aerospace Industries Association of Canada) as well as regional air transport and provincial associations
Lead and represent Boeing Canada activities as they relate to sustainable aviation in concert with Boeing Global Enterprise Sustainability as well as externally facing through various events and conferences.
Contribute and support Regulatory Affairs activities related to validation functions, Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) campaigns and customer support, product development, and new initiatives.
Support Boeing Defense and Space (BDS), including International Strategic Partnerships (ISP), with ongoing and future campaigns. Support BCA and BGS business units to assist in enabling success.
Support Boeing Canada’s sponsorships and grants program.
Represent Boeing Canada within The Boeing Company domains of Strategy and Global Safety.
Undertake responsibilities and efforts at the direction of President Boeing Canada in order to support the Boeing Canada Country Plan.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of combined experience in any of the following; Canadian Military, commercial aviation, or aerospace/defense industry
5+ years relevant senior management experience
Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally
Candidate must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Level II
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Secret Level II Security Clearance
Post-secondary Education
Bilingual in French and English
This requisition is for a locally-hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government. Requirements to obtain a secret security clearance can be found at:
