Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/Pickers for our established automotive distribution client based in Bristol.This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks.Shifts & salary:

• Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30
• Alternating Saturday mornings 08:30 – 12:30 (non negotiable)
• £11.70 per hour
• 1 hour unpaid break per shift
• 42 hour working week average
• Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying period

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO NEW SITE IN PATCHWAY FROM MARCH ONWARDS.Role details:

• Generating pick sheets
• Picking order loads from sheets
• Carrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goods
• Using hand held scanners to pick orders
• Manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when required
• Driving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per run

The candidate:

• 70:30 split driving:warehouse – predominantly a driving role.
• Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence
• Must be prepared to pick and load van daily
• Has previous warehouse experience
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30kg
• Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when needed
• Happy to work within the warehouse not majority driving
