Key Responsibilities:
- Hospital Operations & Financial Management : Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the hospital, including patient care, facility upkeep, and financial management. Ensure the practice operates within budget and adheres to established financial goals.
- Leadership & Strategic Planning : Provide leadership and strategic direction, solving problems effectively and guiding the team towards meeting patient care and practice goals. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and participate in business growth planning.
- Client Services & Compliance : Oversee client services, ensuring high-quality personal service and timely communication. Address client concerns and ensure the clinic complies with all DEA regulations and best practices.
- Team Supervision & Development : Supervise and develop the veterinary team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Conduct regular case reviews and foster a culture of continuous learning and mentorship.
- Veterinarian Duties : Perform physical exams, diagnostic tests, and medical/surgical procedures. Communicate treatment plans effectively with clients, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate with the team to ensure optimal care.
Ideal Candidate:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a valid California veterinary license .
- Proven leadership and management experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients, staff, and the broader community.
- A passion for veterinary medicine with a desire to lead a team and grow the practice.
- Experience with financial management and a track record of driving operational efficiencies.
