On behalf of our client, TalentWorld is hiring a Field Heavy Equipment Technician for a full-time, permanent role based in the Halifax area.If you have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment, this is the role for you!Field Heavy Equipment Technician Responsibilities:Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment and attachments efficiently and effectively.
Assemble, disassemble, and order parts as required to complete repairs.
Utilize instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems for diagnostics and repairs.
Document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
Perform road tests and check attachment operation as needed.
Ensure all tasks are performed safely and to industry standards.
Use computer applications for inspections, maintenance, and diagnosis.
Locate and order parts using catalogues and work closely with parts personnel.Field Heavy Equipment Technician Qualifications:Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment Technician trade or an equivalent designated trade is preferred.
Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, and fine motor control.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers, service teams, and branch personnel.
