The AWS Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager to join the AWS Internal Rates team. The role sets internal rates for AWS services and is responsible for forecasting of internal usage of AWS products.

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across Amazon and AWS services. In addition to traditional Finance skills, this role requires someone with ability to lead cross-functional teams and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Forecasting and budgeting

  • Leading cross-functional projects involving finance and tech teams

  • Improving processes, including automation

  • Pricing

  • Managing stakeholders/ customers

  • Writing documents for senior leadership

  • Someone in this role needs to develop a good understanding of various AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
