WHAT YOU’LL DO
**This is a Temporary 12 month role**The Global Mobility Program Senior Manager is responsible for managing and reimagining the Global Ambassador program. This includes both day-to-day operations (such as program marketing, applications, selection, placement and participant support) and improvement initiatives for the program. The Ambassador program provides an opportunity for our top performing C2s and PLs to spend approximately 1 year in another BCG office experiencing new cultures, PAs, clients and ways of working. It provides stretch development that supports the individual throughout their career by growing personal expertise, international networks and greater cultural awareness.Activities will include general program marketing, communication with offices and candidates, application process leadership, candidate review, oversight of candidate placement, participant check-ins and survey analysis to support the ongoing success of the programs. The individual will work also closely with members of the Global Mobility team, Mobility Managers and Transfer Coordinators in offices worldwide.An important part of this role will be to lead the development and roll-out of a set of program improvements designed to ensure this flagship mobility program and other premier programs remain current for the changing needs of our consultants and the firm. The role holder will be involved in designing, implementing and measuring the success of changes as well as proposing enhancements as the improved format is tested with offices and participants.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program Management
  • Budget & Planning: Prepare input for annual budget planning discussions with Finance; including seat allocation across offices based on office size, demand and historic participation
  • Application & Placement: Advise offices on candidate selection and eligibility for program. Work with offices and candidates to promote successful placements through information sharing, individual advice and process management. Run participant workshops where we ensure candidates have full information on program experience. Work with international tax team to understand tax implications of potential placements
  • Support participants: Run participant orientation workshops to set participants up for successful move and integration. Identify potential obstacles to a successful placement for each individual and work with home and host offices to prepare candidate. Follow up on any program participant who is unstaffed for a period of time; manage issue resolution and escalate to mobility leadership where appropriate. Conduct and follow up on participant check-ins; periodically analyze output for themes and propose improvements for future classes. Promote global communications to celebrate participants and market the Ambassador experience
  • Program Improvement:
  • Program improvements: Measure program outcomes and propose content/policy/process/tools changes to maintain program quality; plan and implement any future change initiatives in partnership with mobility leadership. Run Ambassador program team meetings (consist of Global Mobility team members); monitoring open items, tracking progress on issues and managing issue resolution
  • Selection Criteria and Process: Reimagine the selection criteria for the Ambassador program, align with CD criteria, and enable roll-out of the new selection criteria. Reimagine the current selection process with 2 cycles and 4 rounds to deliver speed to outcomes for applicants and better efficiency for BCG Regions and Systems.
  • Program Experience: Reimagine the program experience to deliver differentiated Mobility experience to help prepare future BCG leaders with geographic and topical knowledge to support BCG business needs
  • Optimize cost: Reimagine the program to maximize ROI on current spend and where necessary re-allocate spend to realize higher ROI

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field preferred
  • 8+ years’ of relevant experience, preferably in management consulting, fast paced environment
  • Strong project and process management experience
  • Knowledge of BCG systems and processes is desirable
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office programs, in particular Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent English – oral and written
