Actalent is urgently Hiring Medical Assistants in lower Manhattan!Please Apply to this posting for immediate considerationJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant (3+ yrs in OBGYN) to join our team in a prestigious OBGYN practicelocated in Soho, Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical assisting, particularly in an OBGYN setting, and possess strong communication and professional skills.Responsibilities· Greet patients warmly as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.· Prep examination rooms thoroughly before each patient visit to maintain a clean and organized environment.· Room patients and ensure they are settled and ready for their appointments.· Draw blood samples and check patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.· Sterilize medical equipment meticulously to ensure all instruments are safe and ready for use.· Utilize the EMR system, preferably eClinicalWorks, to accurately document patient information and manage records.· Handle triage calls efficiently, assessing patient needs, and directing them to the appropriate care.· Perform leeps and other minor procedures as required, ensuring patient comfort and safety.· Measure and record manual blood pressure accurately during patient assessments.Essential Skills· 3 or more years of Medical Assistance experience in an OBGYN office· Experience utilizing EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks· Proficiency with pap smears, colposcopy, leeps, vitals, and blood draws· Strong communication and professional skillsPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
