Position Description

As a Hospitality Associate I, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) per training.
  • Read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Understand and comply with safety rules and Company policies
  • Lead the daily operations of Quick Bites Cafe and related services.
  • Execute routine duties, such as operating the cashier, stocking products, and providing customer service.
  • Maintain workspace cleanliness and increase productivity.
  • Review daily food service reports to maximize efficiency and control waste.
  • Communicate all inquiries and issues to the manager and other leads.
  • Capable to execute or learn the current point of sales program.
  • Uphold the high standard of Quick Bites Cafe by performing necessary tasks, such as checking stock, rotating items, completing product sales, maintaining presentation, and aiding the customer journey.
  • Assist with food packaging for both the Quick Bites Cafe and the Family Dinner program, as well as light kitchen prep work as needed.
  • Ensure clean and efficient work areas.
  • Conduct station and kitchen breakdown.
  • Sustain store cleanliness with attention to opening and closing checklists.
  • Label and store food in accordance with procedures for end of shift.
  • Read, support production of, and execute the daily catering schedule.
  • Support Hospitality programs utilizing time management to provide service during operating hours of the cafe and family dinner packaging and dinner pick-ups.
  • Exhibit proper sanitation, cleanliness and safe food handling practices per the California health code.
  • Additional Hospitality related tasks as deemed necessary by the Management team.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Food handlers certification required (renewal upon hiring if needed).
  • Minimum two years of experience working in a restaurant, catering, or hotel setting is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of proven cashier and frost of house experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence, including recipes, order sheets, and schedules.
  • Outstanding interpersonal capabilities, exuding professionalism, warmth and approachability.
  • Enthusiastic team-based work ethic with a customer-focused, service-oriented mindset.
  • Working knowledge of sanitation, cleanliness and safe food handling practices per the health code.
  • Adaptable and remain calm under pressure.
  • Exhibit exemplary customer service techniques with strong communication skills.
  • Skilled at multitasking in a fast paced environment and working under strict deadlines.
  • Possess basic knife and food displaying skills, as well as an awareness of cuisines and ingredients.
