Due to our continued growth, we are in search of a Task Force Operations Manager to join our team and support our hotels. The position of Task Force Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational support and leadership during task force assignments. During assignments, this individual will focus on operations, providing impactful leadership and support to the team, quality assurance, driving exceptional guest service standards, superior guest satisfaction, ongoing enhancement of service and quality improvements at the hotel, associate development and engagement, fiscal responsibility and experience in budgeting and internal controls during the duration of each assignment. A Task Force Operations Manager position with Colwen Hotels is a roll-up your sleeves role that, when necessary, will require the individual to work in multiple departments to support and lead the team. Our managers do not manage from their offices but are actively out and about in the operation. This position is based in the greater Boston region.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:

  • Responsible for supporting hotel leadership team in the day-to-day hotel operations in assigned role.
  • Provide engaging support and leadership to associates
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring and the ongoing training/development of associates.
  • Ensure that associates receive effective and impactful ongoing standards of service and skills training to consistently deliver a high level of service to guests.
  • Create and maintain a professional, respectful and engaging work environment for hotel associates that fosters a professional, respectful and fun environment.
  • Adherence to all brand and Colwen Hotels standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Hotel Operations Manager experience
  • Leadership roles in both Front Office and Housekeeping a plus
  • Previous experience with Marriott, Hilton and IHG desired
  • Current/Prior experience with Fosse, OnQ and Opera systems
  • Superior communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for hospitality and service
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Creative problem-solver and multi-tasker
  • This position is 100% travel and individual may be assigned to any Colwen Hotel within the portfolio for both short and long-term periods of time
