Overview

Information Services Tech III provides advanced technical support and guidance to end-users and Information Services Techs I and II and plays a key role in managing complex technical issues ensuring efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment. The technician is part of a team responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. To thrive in this role, the candidate should be a natural problem solver, self-motivated, and have a strong sense of ownership.

Responsibility

  • Provides advanced technical support for complex issues that cannot be resolved by Information Services Techs I and II.

  • Develops and maintains troubleshooting procedures and documentation.

  • Mentors and trains Information Services Techs I and II on the support process.

  • Assists in maintaining system security by supporting cybersecurity measures and protocols

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or its equivalent required.

  • 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • High standard of customer service, quality, and attention to detail.

  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems, network technologies, and tech products.

  • Leadership skills/experience in mentoring junior technicians.

  • Strong oral and written English language skills including experience creating written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with the following preferred:

  • Windows 7/10; MacOS/iOS; Android

  • Office 365/Intune

  • Dell Wyse/ VMware Horizon

  • Network Printing/IP Phones

Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements -light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements -stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
