Position Summary:

Data Sciences & Development Strategy (DS&DS) is composed of 4 functional areas (Biostatistics & Epidemiology, Clinical Data Management, Disease Monitoring Programs (DMP) Strategy & Management, Statistical Programming) which have near term launch activities for various UGX programs. This individuals focus will be on DMP studies supporting UGX’s values.

Work Model:

Remote: Officially documented as working full-time from home, with travel to Ultragenyx’s offices or other locations on occasion as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist DMP Team on deliverables, timelines, and special projects
• Contribute with DMP Team to create DMP Publications Dashboard
• Assist DMP Team to create SharePoint for various stakeholders
• Contribute on activities such as, but not limited to, data review, meetings, presentations, and study documents
• Shadow DS&DS Teams to learn about their role in the biotechnology industry
• Learn to work with cross functional teams
• Exposure to vendor management (i.e., Clinical Research Organizations)
• Present research findings orally and in written documents

Requirements:

• Candidate should be enrolled in a Bachelors, Master’s or Doctorate program with a focus on a science and/or mathematical major
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary environment and manage multiple projects
