It enables streamlined data & integration, identifying opportunities for improvement within business application capabilities and providing governance, standards, and patterns for data in transit and at rest. Also, it ensures seamless integration & storage of data across different platforms and systems in a compliant, scalable, secure, optimal, performant, and reliable mannerA day in the lifeAs a Senior Engineer I, you will bring a high level of technical knowledge as well as strong mentoring abilities. You will be counted on as a leader in your technology space as you contribute to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will work closely with a Technology Manager, using your experience and knowledge to guide a team of Engineers through their day-to-day process and provide a central escalation point for production concerns. You will be part of an Agile production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. As a Senior Engineer I, you would be a primary caretaker of production systems and would maintain a deep understanding of how delivered products are functioning.The Sr. Engineer I, Integration Platform will manage the Kafka platform, AWS EK8S cloud infrastructure, and applications and build flexible, scalable, resilient, and secure platform products. As a true teammate at lululemon, you will partner closely with Product managers, Program Managers, and Scrum Masters to develop relationships, manage project scope, and ensure technical deliverables are met.Shape and influence the Integration product roadmap and solutions, including data streaming strategies, kafka connectors, platform self-service features, monitoring, data reusability, cost management strategies, resiliency, and platform security.Support the delivery of data security, including cloud security governance (security policies), security compliance, risk (risk assessments and management), cloud data protection (classification, encryption, tokenization), cloud-based identity and access management, technology/provider-specific cloud architecture for AWS, monitoring/analytics for and in the cloud.Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects to influence complex end-to-end Data streaming solutions on evenr streaming platforms.Design and engineer cloud foundation capabilities and features with the application engineer in mind, making adoption easy.Develop and implement CI/CD via GitlabImplement automated self-service, monitoring & alerting for all essential platform servicesOffer guidance in techniques and help to establish best practices and standards.Clearly explain business value and considerations to the business groups about event streaming and platform services, including the required change for organizations to be successful in their data streaming initiativesMonitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomesIdentify and anticipate new tools and features that can be leveraged to meet the company’s strategic needs successfully.Qualifications:Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible3+ years of experience working with the Kafka platformAdvanced expertise with Confluent platform management, AWS EK8s infrastructure management, Hashi corp vault, Automation, and Developer tools for KafkaProficient in developing scripts, preferably using python or Java to build serverless applicationsHands-on experience with building automation and applications such as account vending machine and security-oriented automation such as Hashi corp KeyVaultExtensive experience with Confluent platform, Kafka topic ACL, SSO, resiliency, and scalability, Azure AD + Conditional Access, implementing Kafka topic and schema registry RBAC and Azure PIM + JIT.Expert level in DevSecOps tools and processes to include, but not limited to Git, JFrog Artifactory, Jenkins and HashiCorp Products.Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skillsMust haves:Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their life.Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results.Communicates with honesty and kindness and creates the space for others to do the same.Leads with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.Fosters connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.Integrates fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take themselves too seriously.Additional Notes

The typical hiring range for this position is from $123,500-$162,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
