Job Description Summary
Join the team at New Bolton Center, where we provide exceptional emergency, clinical, field, and diagnostic care for nearly 6,500 inpatients and 19,500 ambulatory farm patients. Located on 700 acres in Chester County, the campus offers some of the finest veterinary services available.Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties involving the daily care and feeding of animals and the cleaning and general upkeep of patient facilities. Provide assistance to the nursing department, as well as veterinary students on campus and veterinary staff. The Large Animal Attendant has vital duties that help maintain the hospital, including helping with patient care, teaching and general hospital maintenance.
Job Description
Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties involving the daily care and feeding of animals and the cleaning and general upkeep of stall facilities. Reports to the Evening Supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
Perform general patient care, maintain general maintenance and cleanliness of patient areas
Assist with the movement of large animal patients and patient supplies
Contribute to a professional, safe, and efficient hospital environment
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Large animal handling experience is required. Ability to operate a variety of motorized equipment including forklift, tractor, and standard dump truck required. Ability to perform strenuous work and tolerate exposure to weather, chemicals, and allergens required. A valid driver’s license is required.
Large Animal Attendant A- 0-2 yrs. experience
Large Animal Attendant B – 2-3 yrs. experience
