Lead Technology Project & Program Manager – LR Advanced Technologies, DXG Legal & Regulatory Solutions

As part of the global technology organization within Wolters Kluwer, Digital Experience Group (DXG), we are looking to hire a

Technical Program Manager, Advanced Technologies for our DXG Legal & Regulatory Solutions organization.

In this role, you’ll be leading and managing complex artificial intelligence/machine learning and data enrichment initiatives for the Legal Software business unit of the Legal & Regulatory division. This position will be client-facing and responsible for coordinating internal resources and monitoring projects, from inception to completion, as well as participating hands-on in the projects. This position works closely with technical, product and business teams as well as operations to ensure continuity in solution offerings and enable us to achieve our business goals. 

Essential Duties and responsibilities

• Provide technical thought leadership, organizational rigor, solve large & complex business problems and drive actionable insights for clients.
• Lead the development of AI/ML solutions in production to meet business needs and get buy in from leadership.
• Manage advanced technology programs, by defining milestones and success criteria, manage backlogs, budgets and risks.
• Understand AI and Machine Learning technologies and their applications for the Legal & Regulatory market.
• Drive the end-to-end process to turn ideas into products that bring measurable value to clients.
• Encourage creative and innovative thinking on large and diverse teams.
• Share lessons and best practices across DXG and business communities.
• Exercise technical judgment in working with large, cross-functional teams.
• Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
• Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.

Other Duties

• Position will require working some evening, weekend and holiday hours.  At points in the development, delivery and support cycle, position may require 24×7 cell phone availability.

• May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience, from a four-year college or university, or equivalent.

The following are some of the technologies in which a Lead AI Technology Project Manager would be desired to have decent knowledge:

• A minimum of 5 or more years of experience Software Development with proven track record in advanced technologies (AI/ML).
• Up to date with AI research areas and current trends.
• Nuances related to building machine learning models including data preparation techniques, feature engineering techniques, building machine learning (ML) models and related ML algorithms.
• Stay up to date with current developments in the field of AI – Safe AI, Ethical AI, Fair AI etc.
• Cloud AI/ML services on AWS, GCP, Azure
• Cloud computing services
• Knowledgeable about Big Data technologies and related cloud services
• Software development lifecycle, project implementation methodologies such as agile etc
• Software engineering principles
• DevOps concepts for ML pipeline automation
• Infrastructure knowledge for deciding physical/virtual m/c for model retraining etc.
• Some exposure to or experience of law or the legal field is a bonus

Travel requirements

Position may require some travel, domestic and international, comprising no more than 10% of total days worked.
