JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform upkeep tasks such as repairs, cleaning and general maintenance at multiple job sites.
  • Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and detect plumbing, electrical and mechanical failures.
  • Diagnose and repair building systems including lighting, plumbing, electricity, etc. through hands-on or direct supervision of subcontractors.
  • Ensure facilities are tidy and functional; conduct general maintenance throughout office buildings.
  • Light landscaping, including mulching flower beds and shoveling/salting sidewalks and entryways in inclement winter weather.
  • General carpentry, interior/exterior painting, moving furniture and assisting with delivery, installation of light fixtures.
  • Complete deliveries and pickups, and transport other large items via rental trucks.
  • Adhere to and promote a safe working environment, including keeping all materials, supplies, tools and any other related items in their place.
  • Occasional travel may be required to at least 15 buildings in the Kentuckiana area, and potentially hotels and restaurants across the continental United States.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, experience in driving box trucks preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication with team.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others on a team.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls.
  • Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Climbing multiple flights of stairs.
  • Climbing ladders, which may include working on roofs.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds individually.
