Job Title: Medical AssistantJob DescriptionThe Medical Assistant in this role will support the Digestive Health Center, which has up to 90 providers spanning a variety of specialties. The main three specialties needing support are gastroenterology, hepatology, and GI surgery. Each Medical Assistant can see up to 40 patients a day, making efficiency and communication imperative. This role is Monday to Friday with a scheduled time of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.Responsibilities

• Room patients and check vital signs
• Communicate with providers and staff using In Basket
• Clean and prep patient rooms
• Complete administrative tasks such as updating the EPIC system with health notes
• Schedule appointments
• Verify insurance information
• File forms

Work EnvironmentThis role operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Each Medical Assistant supports 3-4 providers and can see up to 40 patients a day. The department is ranked top 10 in the entire nation for its specialty and takes pride in being a top provider. This clinic offers a stable environment with a great team culture. Note that this role is not a good fit for someone looking to be very hands-on and assist with procedures.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 – $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
