Job Title: Medical Assistant – PatchogueJob DescriptionTake patient vital signs, stock rooms, clean instruments, autoclave, and set up rooms for procedures. Patient intake includes collecting medical history and recording symptoms, greeting patients, and escorting them to patient rooms.Responsibilities

• Take patient vital signs
• Stock rooms with necessary supplies
• Clean and sterilize instruments using an autoclave
• Prepare rooms for medical procedures
• Conduct patient intake by collecting medical history and recording symptoms
• Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms

Essential Skills

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Professional communication skills
• Customer service ability
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficient typing skills
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Phlebotomy skills
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Scribe experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months or more of medical assistant experience
• Certification preferred, but not required
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work EnvironmentWork during the day shift with 1-2 late nights a week. During these late shifts, you will start later in the day and finish between 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM depending on patient flow.
