Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is hiring on behalf of a reputable manufacturing company for a skilled and dedicated Millwright.

This is a direct hire, long-term opportunity for a hands-on individual with strong mechanical and welding knowledge who is passionate about equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

About the Role

The Millwright will be responsible for installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure operational efficiency and uptime across all production areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, align, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications and schematics
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues effectively
• Fabricate and repair parts as needed using welding and fabrication techniques
• Collaborate with other trades (machine operators, electricians, etc.) to provide comprehensive maintenance solutions
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Follow all company safety standards and regulations at all times
• Use tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, levels, and alignment equipment for precise work
• Lift and handle parts as required (not a physically demanding position)

Requirements

• 433A Millwright Certificate (required)
• 309A or other related certifications are considered an asset
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial maintenance role
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting, alignment, and precision measurement
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication is highly desirable
• Experience with electrical systems and general maintenance practices is preferred
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a strong desire to grow within the company
• Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
