Job Description Summary

The Clinical Manager oversees areas within the large animal hospital, New Bolton Center, that relate to patient support (medical records, charge capture, pharmacy, clinical lab, etc.). The clinical manager acts as a liaison between those responsible for direct patient support services and hospital administration. The individual would work closely with healthcare teams, ensuring compliance with all laws and guidelines, and prioritizing patient and employee safety. Their leadership skills will be key in working collaboratively with others to optimize patient care and safety, and improve patient-related processes.Position located at New Bolton Center, Kennett Square, PA. Job Description

The Clinical Manager oversees areas within the large animal hospital, New Bolton Center, that relate to patient support (medical records, charge capture, pharmacy, clinical lab, etc.). The clinical manager acts as a liaison between those responsible for direct patient support services and hospital administration. The individual would work closely with healthcare teams, ensuring compliance with all laws and guidelines, and prioritizing patient and employee safety. Their leadership skills will be key in working collaboratively with others to optimize patient care and safety, and improve patient-related processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversees areas that provide for supporting patient services (admission information, medical records, pharmacy, clinical laboratory, charge capture, infection control).
• Manages supervisors in each of the above areas.
• Ensures that processes for each patient support area optimize functionality and promote patient health and safety.
• Remains current on healthcare innovations in patient support disciplines.
• Interacts with clients regarding service complaints, collecting information around complaint made and associated process failures.
• Interfaces with IT and hospital leadership regarding improvements and enhancements with the electronic medical record.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

• Experience in healthcare field, preferably in safety / quality assurance areas
• Background in pharmacy, finance, clinical lab, or client/customer service
• Excellent and professional communication skills; seeks collaborative solutions for patient service areas
• Mentoring and management skills to foster growth and professional development in those they supervise

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
